VAN ZOMEREN

— Carl Van Zomeren will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. at 902 Second Ave. East (Central Reformed Church Youth House) in Oskaloosa.
His children will host the celebration. Your attendance would be a blessing but we request no gifts.
Carl was born Feb. 19, 1918, to Teunis and Anna Van Zomeren. He was married to Mary Evelyn Moffet on Feb. 27, 1940, and they farmed in the Oskaloosa area for over 60 years. Carl still resides on the family farm. He is a member of the Central Reformed Church. His children are Jean (Charles) Argo and Jim (Mona) Van Zomeren, all of Oskaloosa. He is the proud grandfather of five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
