The owners of the business are John and Judi Johnson, of Albia. Jason Summers manages their Albia office. Their daughter, Tammy McMains, of Oskaloosa, has worked for the business for many years, but rejoined the team permanently in 1996. She has been managing it since 999. McMains mainly works the commercial lines of business.
JoAnn Ames joined the team in 2001. She also is from Oskaloosa and is fully licensed. She works the personal lines products and oversees many of the daily activities, along with servicing clients.
Kristi Sagers has quickly become a professional at customer service. She joined the team in April 2006 and became a licensed personal lines agent in 2007.
The business also has been a member of the Oskaloosa Area Chamber & Development Group since 1991. It has participated in the Lighted Christmas Parade and involved with community-minded activities such as the Patriot Tree. The company invited past and present military personnel to come in and sign a ribbon that was then tied to a lighted tree in the front yard of the office to honor all soldiers.
In March 2004, McMains bought the house located at 602 S. Market St. and restored it for the permanent location of JS Stafford Agency.
