Mark and JoAnn Jackson, of rural Rose Hill, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kate Ann Jackson, to Dustin Dean Hite, son of Merlin and Carol Hite, of New Sharon.

The bride to be is a 2000 graduate of Oskaloosa Senior High School and a 2004 graduate of Central College. She currently teaches junior high English at North Mahaska Jr./Sr. High School. Her grandparents are Mack and Dorothy Jackson, of rural Rose Hill, and the late Paul and Hannah Murphy, of Knoxville.

The groom to be is a 2002 graduate of North Mahaska Jr./Sr. High School and a 2006 graduate of Central College. He currently attends the University of Iowa College of Law and will graduate in May of 2009. His grandparents are Lester and the late Helen Hite, of New Sharon, and Glen and Rita Vos, of Oskaloosa.

An Aug. 1 ceremony is planned at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Oskaloosa with Father Thomas Spiegel officiating. Following the ceremony, there will be a dinner reception at William Penn University.
