Published April 30, 2008 11:47 am - Blood drive results The Oskaloosa Herald OSKALOOSA — The Southeast Iowa Blood Center drew 34 units of blood on April 17 at the Musco Sales Center in Oskaloosa. Dan Ratts and Katherine Simmons were new donors. Gallon donors included William Jennings, one gallon; Linda Crookham-Johnson, two gallons; and Tracy Hawk, four gallons. You can donate blood every eight weeks. One pint of blood can help save the lives of up to three patients. One out of every five people who enter the hospital will need blood products.
