Blood Drive

OSKALOOSA

The Southeast Iowa Blood Center is holding the Mahaska County Community Blood Drive on Monday, May 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Mahaska Hospital.

The drive will be held in the Mahaska Health Partnership Education Room, at 1229 C Ave. E., Oskaloosa.

Call the Southeast Iowa Blood Center at (800) 452-1097 to schedule an appointment. Donors who last gave blood on or before March 17 are eligible.

Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about an hour. Donors must be at least 16 years old, be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. A Blood Donor card or other photo ID is required to donate; 16-year-old donors must present a signed parental consent form, available from Blood Center offices. Controlled high blood pressure and diabetics are acceptable.
