OSKALOOSA — William Penn University held it’s belated — due to last week’s snowstorm — spring semester convocation at George Daily Auditorium Tuesday morning.
As part of this convocation, University President Dr. Richard Sours introduced a new set of speaking engagements at William Penn University — the “Helen J. Noah Lecture Series.”
The first speaker in this series, Dr. R. Sentwali Bakari, dean of students and leadership development instructor at Drake University, spoke at Tuesday’s convocation.
His speech — “The Legacy of Dr. King: Leadership Lessons for Us All” — touched, as the title might suggest, on lessons we can take from Dr. Martin Luther King’s life and legacy.
