Herald photo by Michael Schaffer/Saturday afternoon vehicles had to dodge ice-coated branches that had fallen on First Avenue East between South Third Street and South 11th Street. What started as freezing rain did eventually turn into snow but along the way the ice storm brought down trees and branches throughout the city.
