Prior to the beginning of the Pella Tulip Time Parade each day, the city streets of Pella much be scrubbed. Many community volunteers of all ages take part in this tradition each year during the Tulip Time celebration. This year marked the 72nd anniversary of the Pella Tulip Time Festival. The Pella Historical Society sponsors the event annually to commemorate and celebrate the Dutch heritage of Pella.
