Middle school student arrested

— An Oskaloosa Middle School student was arrested on Thursday for allegedly making threats directed at a bus stop.
Oskaloosa Community School District Superintendent Carolyn McGaughey said she became aware of the possible threat on Wednesday evening and that on Thursday morning the campuses were secured.
“We chose to take precautionary action,” McGaughey said.
The campuses remained secured until the student was taken into custody by law enforcement officials, McGaughey said. The student was not on school grounds.
