Published October 10, 2008 09:43 am - Grant, Lincoln sell price $80,000 each By WES KAPPELMAN The Oskaloosa Herald OSKALOOSA — The Oskaloosa Housing Trust Fund Committee agreed at a Meeting on Thursday to pay Community Housing Initiatives $58,000 once CHI buys the Lincoln and Grant schools.
CHI is expected to buy both buildings soon for $80,000 each. The $58,000 that OHTFC approved is a local contribution the committee had already agreed to. The buildings have racked up approximately $51,000 in expenses. The Oskaloosa Housing Trust Fund and the Oskaloosa Community School District will split the proceeds from the sale. The committee also approved its last budgeted demolition grant this year for a property at 308 N. G St. The owner is proposing to replace the building with a 1,232-square-foot house with an attached garage or a duplex.
