Published August 28, 2008 11:35 am - County Employee Salaries for 2008 - 2009 The Oskaloosa Herald OSKALOOSA — It was moved by Rouw seconded by Gordy to approve the following salaries for the 2008/2009 fiscal year. All present voted aye. The compensation board recommended the following salary increases. Attorney; Auditor; Recorder, Sheriff and Treasurer and Supervisors 11.3 percent. The supervisors reduced the salaries by 69 percent of the compensations board’s recommendation of 11.3 percent across the board. (11.3 percent minus 69 percent is equal to 7.8 percent) (11.3 percent minus 7.8 percent equals a 3.5 percent increase). Salaries approved for elected officials by the compensation board are as follows after being reduced by the Board of Supervisors at the Jan. 14, 2008 board meeting. All of the salaries are effective July 1, 2008. Elected Officials: Attorney - $77,720 Auditor - $48,280 Recorder - $46,870 Sheriff - $60,760 Supervisors - $27,870 Treasurer - $47,490 Attorney’s Office – Assistant County Attorney, Misty White Reinier - $50,380.70 Administrative Assistant, Jeannette Newendorp - $32,830.20
