Indians win Hoover Invite title

Oskaloosa had a banner night at the Hoover Huskies Invitational Tuesday by capturing the team title thanks to eight first-place finishes.
The Indians racked up 168 points to beat the Huskies for the team title.
Sara Dickinson was a double winner as she won the 3,000- and 1,5000-meter runs while Trisha Van Dusseldorp also took home a pair of individual first places by winning the 800 and the 400 hurdles. Oskaloosa also picked up wins from Cortney Major (long jump), the 4x800 relay foursome of Jenna Medlin, Jessica Grahek, Savannah Groet and Haley Brostrom, the shuttle hurdle team of Van Dusseldorp, Major, Sam Lowry and Allison Rohloff as well as the distance medley quartet of Brostrom, Van Dusseldorp, Maddi Sams and Lauren Williams.
The Oskaloosa junior varsity also did quite well with 13 first-place finishes, including the 4x800, shuttle hurdle, 4x200, sprint medley, 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
The Indians will be competing in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet on Monday at Knoxville.
