Osky competes at Mount Pleasant



MOUNT PLEASANT

The Mount Pleasant boys golf team used consistent team scoring to take a close win over Albia and Oskaloosa on Thursday in triangular action at Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant’s team score of 162 was just three shots better than Albia (165) and eight strokes better than Oskaloosa (174). Mitch Tucker of Oskaloosa carded 36 to garner the meet medalist award. Albia’s Kevin Fitzpatrick earned meet runner-up honors with a round of 39.

Nate Halbmeier carded 41, Aaron Flahive shot 42 and Dillon Wilson had a 43 to round out the scoring for Albia.

Jake McCrea shot 45, Alex Heaton 46 and Cody Major and Jeff Keep each had 47s for the Indians.

Mount Pleasant 162, Albia 165, Oskaloosa 174

Medalist — Mitch Tucker (O) 36. Runner-up — Kevin Fitzpatrick (A) 39.

Oskaloosa — Mitch Tucker 36. Jake McCrea 45, Alex Heaton 46, Cody Major 47, Jeff Keep 47, Erik McGee 50.
