Boone netters trip Oskaloosa
OSKALOOSA
—
Oskaloosa had a hard time winning any matches against Boone Thursday night.
In fact, the Torreadors swept the Indians 11-0, yet Oskaloosa coach Jill Gray was pleased with the team’s play.
“I was very pleased with the effort and play of the girls,” she said. “The score doesn’t indicate it but we played very well tonight, Boone is an unbelievably good tennis team. Lenka and Kelsie played their best match of the season, they were aggressive at the net and both served well. They showed alot of heart and determination to win take their match to a third set.”
Oskaloosa competes in the Little Hawkeye Conference Tournament Monday.
