Published September 23, 2008 10:21 am - The White team bested the Maroon squad 21-7 Monday night in the annual Powder Puff football game at Community stadium. White beats Maroon in Powder Puff showdown OSKALOOSA — The White team will have bragging rights after the 21-7 win over the Marron team Monday night at Community Stadium to kick off homecoming week at Oskaloosa High School.
Scoring touchdowns for the victorious White team were Shayna Walters, Brittany Sams and Arie Walker. The lone score for the Maroon team came from Kate Sterner. Particapating for the White team were Morgan Alexander, Chelsea Anderson, Gab Brehm, Jennifer Carter, Niek Contreas, Kaitlin DeHeer, Mica Doolan, Brenda Doty, Shayla Francis, Tomi Jo Gay, Jacque Gordy, Lorrie Hamilton, Amber Hamm, Rachel Hamm, Sarah Hynick, Makayla Lewis, Natalie McCombs, Molly Nobling, Alisha Poncy, Enna Rabedeau, Brittany Sams, Kylie Veldhuizen, Arie Walker, Shayna Walters, LeAnan White, Lauren Williams and Brittany Wright. The team was coached by Alex Sirovy, Tye Sparks and Andrew Reed with the teacher coach Amanda Reynolds. Playing for the Maroon team were Brittany Allison, Kiley Anderson, Hailey Brown, Nicole Brown, Nikel Carruthers, Jayce Carter, Lauren Childs, Hailey Comstock, Mandy Cummings, Taylor Gardner, Audrianna Glassford, Megan Gott, Emilia Hodges, Brianne Hogenson, Mindy Hornick, Samantha Kendall, Lacey McGlothlen, Alisha Moses, Brittany Redlich, Katie Riely, Allison Rohloff, Amber Small, Audrey Sours, Lottie Staggs, Kate Sterner, Emily Street, Brooke Veenstra, Amanda Veldhuizen and Jennfier Vonk. The team was coached by Matt Bowie, Wiebe Goodyk and Drrw Ruggles with the teacher coach Brandon Schmidt. The officials were Blake Engelhoven, Taylor Schelker and Chris Kollasch whilke the annoucners were Jordan Shrago, Zach Hynick, Derrick Libanan and Ben Bricker.
